Her Excellency the second lady Pastor Dorcas Rigathi has launched a rehabilitation program in Mathira in Nyeri County, where 60 men are set to undergo rehabilitation in the fight against drug use and abuse. Since assuming office, the second lady has amplified the initiative of Reviving the hope of young men across the country through rehabilitation programs, education, business support among other supportive and preventative measures.
The cohort of 60 men chosen to undergo this programme will be educated, financed, offered jobs and supported through the transformative journey.
“As a mother, I want you to know that you are not alone and I understand the trouble that you have endured. Anytime you get discouraged, just know that I am praying for you and God is with you.” As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11, God has great plans for you. Plans to prosper you, not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Under the hashtag #BoyChildDreams Dr Dorcas Rigathi has partnered with the county government in the fight against illicit brew in the county, financial institutions and driving schools and the church. Her Excellency Pastor Dorcas Rigathi has warned that the boy child does not need bashing or discouragement but support towards transformative lives. She has emphasized that in this spirit, understanding should at all times replace judgement and stigma.
This initiative in Mathira is only one of the many programmes launched in a bid to save the Boychild across counties under the Dorcas Rigathi Foundation.
